Fluoride is used to prevent cavities. When fluoride is used, it makes the enamel of the teeth and molars harder. In this way, the tooth and/or molar is protected against the development of cavities. If the risk of getting cavities is low, brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste will be sufficient.
If there is an average or high risk of cavities, an additional application of fluoride can provide a solution to reduce this risk. This fluoride application, also known as fluoride application, consists of a gel in which there is a choice of various flavors. This is only applied to the teeth and molars that require extra fluoride.
