Oral problems - tartar

having tartar disrupts the aesthetics and increases the risk of gum disease

Tartar

Tartar is formed when dental plaque (a white sticky layer consisting of food remains and bacteria) is not removed sufficiently. This removal of dental plaque can take place when brushing correctly in combination with a correct interdental aid (a brush). The amount of tartar present in the mouth has to do with a number of different causes. For example, the teeth can be difficult to clean due to the position of the teeth and/or molars or there is an incomplete instruction that prevents you from applying correct oral hygiene.

If tartar remains in the mouth for too long, it increases the risk of developing cavities in the teeth, gum disease and/or bad breath.
